Mathfest

Eli was invited at the end of February to take part in a math competition. Only 10 children from each grade were chosen to represent Union Academy, so this was an honor for Eli. All the children met up in Greensboro, NC to take part in the mathfest competition. When Eli started this competition he was 1 of about 250 children, and ended up 1 of about 30. He didn't make it all the way to the end, but man he did a great job. He was composed and didn't get too frustrated when he missed a question, we were so proud of Eli for stepping up into such a big role. He was a bit nervous when we got there, but as the students were sat down... he focused and got the job done.

We can't wait for Eli to take part in more opportunities like this, the Lord has truly blessed him with a smart mind that can function on a high level.
