Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland

All week there had been talk of a snow storm hitting Charlotte... every time I hear that I blow it off because a storm to Charlotte is a dusting in NY.

(that is where I am originally from if you didn't know that already)

Anyway, We woke up this morning to Lilly knocking on our door....

"mommy? Daddy?"

"Yes Lil, what is it?"

" (daddy opens door) Jesus made the snow!"

" You are right, Jesus did make the snow Lilly. Would you like to go out in it and play?"

"(jumping up and down) Yeah, Yeah, Yeah"

So we proceed to get bundled up and go out in the snow. Eli lasted about an hour... which he has no snow gear at all (cold wet hands, feet, legs), so he did pretty well considering.

We tried the old cookie sheet with Pam spray on the bottom... well that didn't work all that great... it was fast... but the cookie sheet just wasn't designed to be a sled!

Lilly lasted about 45 minutes, but she would have stay out longer if Zach wanted to stay.

This was Zach within the first minute of being outside... he loved it for 2 seconds... and yes he did eat the snow... and NO it wasn't yellow!


Zach, well he's just not a big fan of playing out in scow. he was out all of 10 minutes and crying about going back inside... pouting his lip. We were bad parents and made him come with us to a hill to go sledding for a couple minutes. We thought that once he went down with daddy, he'd forget about the cold and just have fun... that wasn't the case, he was all about being inside in the warmth.
