Psalm 73: 27-28

My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. …
But for me it is good to be near God;
I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,
that I may tell of all your works.

Mothers Day/ Birthday Party

This past weekend, our family enjoyed just spending time together... playing around and having fun! It was a pretty long mothers day for me because it started at 6am... Scott and I were on Worship team and needed to get to church in order to set up and go through another practice round before service. It was a great service... Vicky Gray (Pastor Derwin's wife) spoke. She did a great job, challenged us women in areas that always need challenging... the Holy Spirit was present for sure! After service we went home, the younger two took naps (and so did Daddy)... while I went out to the store alone... and Eli watched a movie. Then once everyone got up, we went over to Mimi and Poppies house to celebrate Mothers day and Lidiane's Birthday. It was a nice time, good food as always at Mimi's house... and guess what???? NO CHICKEN was cooked... we had steak! Then on to the cake... Tres Leche ... it is one of the most outstanding cakes ever to be made! Believe me when I say... we left stuffed! Let me add one more thing... if any of you know my dad... he is not one to go for seconds on dessert much... but he went for it on Sunday!

Singing Happy Birthday to Li... she is so adorable!

Tres Leche Cake... doesn't look the prettiest... but it tastes amazing!

Eli Enjoying a mouthful of cake... but managing a smile for the camera as well!
Eli and Poppie are in deep conversation... Eli is about to make a very important point!

Lil and Mimi ... she's waiting patiently for her piece.

In the grand scheme of things... my mothers day was pretty outstanding... Not everyone has a loving husband like I do, children who bless you every day, and not everyone got to spend mothers day with their own mother... but I DID! I am so thankful for that! I was blessed in so many ways that day. Thank you Lord for giving me the family that I have.
