This weekend was a beautiful weekend, no not according to the weather, but because we had Zacheriah (1 1/2yr.) dedicated to the Lord. As parents Scott and I are privileged and honored, and have been blessed to be the parents or three great kids (Elijah, Lillian, Zacheriah), and in return we feel we should dedicate each child back to the Lord. The story of Hannah is where dedication to the Lord is found. Hannah was a woman who was barren and so badly wanted a child, she prayed and asked for the Lord's favor... and if she would bare a child she would give him back to the Lord. The Lord answered her prayer and she gave birth to Samuel. Children are a gift from the Lord and he blesses us with them, and blesses us through them... so in turn we bless the Lord and give our children back to Him. You can read Hannah's story in 1 Samuel 1, it is a neat story. Anyway, we were able to have my in-laws in town again for this special time. We were so thankful that they were able to make it, my mother-in-law was not feeling well.. but pushed through anyway... and we were so glad they did. Sunday morning both sets of grandparents were with us to support us in our dedicating Zach... Thanks to all four of you, for supporting us, praying for us, and helping us instruct them... Prov 22:6 "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." (NIV) Now, all three of our children have been dedicated back to the Lord! We are so excited to see what God has in store for all three of HIS children!
