SNOW STORM!

Scott woke me up this morning saying that Eli didn't have school and that he was probably not working today because of the snow. To all of you people who are northerners you're going to laugh at the fact that school was closed, because we only got about 2 inches of snow. It is fluffy snow, and the roads were totally clear! It cracks me up, because down here if the weather man says snow for tomorrow... many times schools will post closings the night before! It turned out to be really nice, the kids have wanted it to snow. It was Lilly's second time seeing snow, the first being last week up in NY... Zach's first time also. Gettin' ready to head on out in the snow... we wrapped all our feet in plastic bags to keep the snow out of our shoes.

While getting Zach and Lilly ready, Eli headed out in the snow with Cadence. He proceeded to get onto the trampoline and jump. He ended up with a lot of snow down the neck and up the gloves because he was all over the place. Ya gotta love how kids don't think about consequences... they just go and do! It's after the fact of being soaked in cold snow that they feel the effects of it and start to complain about it!

Zach wasn't too enthralled with the cold weather and the snow. He would have rather stayed inside by the warm fire we had going.

When we were all ready we went down to our neighbors house and had some snowball fights with them for a few minutes before Scott and I took the two smaller children inside. Once they settled in, I went back out with Eli to sled with our friends. Even us adults went down the hill a couple times. It was a lot of fun, and the best thing about it is the snow will all be melted by tomorrow afternoon, if not by this afternoon. We don't have to deal with the ugly brown slush!

These three had a blast playing together this morning... this was the trek they made about 100 times up the hill this morning. This was at the end, as you can see they were getting pretty worn out!
